The Right Formula For Choosing Mr/Ms Right

May 4th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Toni Coleman As a dating and relationship expert, I am frequently asked for advice about HOW to choose the right partner. The question is often centered on the qualities that are found in lasting, healthy unions and how we can know if the people we are choosing to date are a good match for us according to these. The answer for everyone can only be found through careful examination of ones own needs, wants, values and goals and comparing these with the answers your date or partner would give to their own self-examination of these critical relationship components. At the core of this assessment is a need for honesty and good self- awareness. Therefore, it begins with you as an individual and your own readiness for a real relationship. Essentially, you need to have your own life (enough) in order and know who you are and the direction you want your life to go in. For more specific help with this, read my article at: http://www.consum-mate.com/newslets/03jun.htm#feature Once you have decided that you are indeed ready- for all the right reasons- then you can move successfully towards serious dating and commitment by knowing what the right relationship qualities are for you and learning how to see them in others. In order to do a good assessment, you need to examine four critical areas that are at the foundation of all healthy, enduring relationships. These are your: Needs Wants Values Goals When we talk about needs in this context, we are really asking ourselves what we believe is essential for us in our future life. For instance, is marriage your ultimate goal or are you looking only for companionship or a non-marital partnership? Perhaps you are looking for someone who shares a very specific lifestyle, passion or interest. Ask yourself; What MUST I have that is non-negotiable? Then, ask yourself, What is unacceptable or something I just cant live with? Your wants are very closely related to your needs, but will have some room for compromise. Make a wish list related to how you see your future life. Be creative, but make sure you include things like financial status, lifestyle considerations, social and relationship needs, etc. Your values are a very critical component to your assessment. They drive your goals and go to the very core of what is dearest to you. For instance, ask yourself the following questions. Is God an essential part of your life? Must your partner have high intelligence and/or be well educated? Do you believe that saving/investing money is essential to your life and that you must do so even if it requires sacrifices in your lifestyle? Do you absolutely want children or are you sure you do not want to be a parent? Do you have a specific vision of what you believe a good parent is and does in their role of caregiver and role model? How large of a priority is family and intimacy in your life? Do you have specific expectations regarding your partners behavior towards you and any future children you may have? Do you see yourself settled down in a home/job/lifestyle or do you dream of travel and a lifestyle that allows you to move about freely and leaves many options open to you? Your goals follow your values and are what you organize your life and priorities around. They include, but are not limited to: career choices and level of income, homeownership and other investments, desired lifestyle- which includes family, geographic area of residence, homeownership, etc. and timetables for accomplishment and achievement of your lifes milestones. Once you really know what these are, you will know what to look for in others. Determining how well you match up with someone else will become evident as you discuss and share your dreams, passions, hopes and future plans with your significant other. Many couples get into trouble because they either avoid having these honest and revealing talks- often because they fear losing the other person - or because they ASSUME that because they are so drawn to each other or have so much fun together that they must be RIGHT for one another and share the same beliefs and goals. Remember to use your head as well as your heart when choosing the person you will travel the road of life with. For this road is unpredictable and can be full of twists, turns and perilous stretches. Make sure the person at your side will be there for you as an individual and will be willing and able to make the compromises and take the actions necessary to make it a lasting, fruitful and shared journey. The word 100% Compensation has been diluted by many companies who simply want your business, but later giving you a small print to deduct charges. I mean it does freaks people out. So upfront, you should receive 100% Compensation for road traffic accident claims, work accident claims and slip, trip or fall claims. Anyway you can start a personal accident claim and your accident injury solicitor will finish it. Not much work is required on your behalf except at the forefront. If everything is clear on the outset, the rest should be taken care off. But in order for this to happen you need to make a decision to begin. Stay In Contact With Your Accident Claim Solicitor Always stay in contact with your injury solicitor. If you leave for holiday, or cant be contacted for some time then let them know. There has been occasions where people forget to inform their accident solicitor and your accident injury claim goes nowhere besides archive. Dont let that happen to you. Business- How to Win New Clients

April 28th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Peter Hickey A lead generation system for coaches? To develop a lead generation system, try not to sell in the first instance. But rather to supply helpful information that informs your prospects on how to potentially solve their problems. This idea of adding value to your prospects is called education based or relationship marketing. The effect is achieved by providing prospects with valuable ideas and helpful information on topics that are most important to them. The goals are to build trust and establish a dialog that is not just centred around a sales pitch. The following steps show you how to implement this system to win new clients Step 1: Define your prospects and specialty area Define the target marketDefine the biggest problems that your client is having The first step that you should implement is to decide who your prospects are. This comes back to your original marketing plan and financial modeling. Those with established businesses will have a good understanding of who their prospects are, those that are starting a business should think long and hard at the outset of who they are trying to attract. Try not to attract people that you cant convert to a profitable assignment. Think about your end goal, your billing rates and the number of clients you need. Then you need to get inside the mind of your prospect. Work out every step of their day to day routine, keeping in mind your product or service that your offering might be the solution to their problem. Step 2: Develop your lead generation material and communication plan The basis of the communication plan is to continue to refine the prospect down into problem areas and to match these problem areas with products or services your practice offers. You need to establish good teaser information. Make the material catchy and relevant. For example business coaches and consultants consider material such as7 ways to fire an employee22 sample incentive schemes for staff33 ways to improve your business In the presentation of your information, position yourself as an expert. You do this by including references to your stature and standing, past clients or years of experience in the field you have chosen to supply information. Step 3: Distribute Material The goal of this type of marketing is to produce information which you offer in magazines, seminars and PR programs. You offer this information and in return you receive the contact details of your prospects. When I established my consultancy in 1990 we were constrained by seminars, mainstream advertising and expensive mail shots. These days our education material can be broadcast at a very low cost via the internet and through webinars. (Web seminars). We can use email or fax. Of course traditional channels such as coupon advertising, leaving material with your channel is all very effective provided it can be cost justified. Step 4: Follow up and convert But the education cant just be a one off. You must set up a communication plan that keeps you in front of your prospect. This over a period of time convinces your customers that you are the type of firm that they would want to deal with. Trust and credibility are the key words, the more you dont sell openly the more your potential prospects start to trust and want to establish a relationship with your firm. Summary of the system By acting as an authority in a niche area you gradually start to build trust with your prospect. By producing solution based educational material you are even able to solicit leads. But that is where it starts. You have the warm leads but you still have to convert them to a converted sale. This is where you need to build your communication program and keep offering value. Key points You need to exchange the information for your prospects details. The point is to get your prospects details so you can establish trustCreate good teaser information to encourage prospects to leave their contact detailsDONT GIVE A SALES PITCH! Wedding Coordinators & Event Planners

April 26th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Cynthia M Planning a wedding can be stressful and very time consuming project. Hiring wedding coordinators can also allow the soon-to-be bride and groom with a lot of free time to plan the rest of their lives together. The bride and groom should both meet with the wedding coordinator so that he/she can get to know you as a couple and speak with you about your wishes for the big day. Coordinators will often convey their ideas during the first meeting and they may also go over a few pricing plans. The most important thing to keep in mind is to spend within your means. Its tempting to go overboard and order the biggest cake, the prettiest flowers and forget all about the price. But, after the wedding is over and the cake is gone, the bills will still be there. So, set a budget and speak with the coordinator about your guidelines. Let them know that you already have an amount that you wish to spend and ask if he/she can put together a nice, memorable wedding ceremony according to your budget. Wedding coordinators take care of every detail, including booking the location, catering, ordering the wedding cake, designing and ordering the invitations, ordering and arranging flowers, seating guests, etc. After hiring a wedding coordinator, the only thing that is really required of the bride and groom are to get their tuxedo and gown and arrive on time, ready to say I do. Its important to enjoy being engaged rather than spending that time combing through thousands of details and trying to make sure everything is handled properly. A wedding should be about the bride and groom, their own personal taste and wishes. Coordinators need to know what you want for the big day so that they can make it happen in a way that will be memorable for both of you. A wedding should be a personal event that reflects upon both individuals. If she likes romance, perhaps a Valentines Day wedding is in order. If he likes sports, perhaps the marriage proposal was made at a sports arena and the reception somehow incorporates his love of athletics. Discuss individual interests with each other before relaying them to the coordinator. Put your heads together and come up with something that you both will enjoy. Of course, hiring a coordinator does not mean that the bride and groom will be closed off from the decision making process. In fact, its just the opposite. Both individuals will be very much involved in the selection of flowers, the design and wording of invitations, the design of the wedding cake, the location and time of the wedding, etc. The main difference being that, with the help of wedding coordinators, the bride and groom only make the decisions and do not have to worry themselves with finalizing all of the details. There will be plenty of decisions that need making in the years ahead, so its ok to just enjoy each other for now. Cynthia has 11 years of experience as a published writer. At age 28, her work has already appeared in many national magazines. Her subjects range from wedding content to celebrity interviews. In 1997, Cynthia earned her paralegal degree while maintaining a writing career. Kid Birthday Party Games - Under 10’s

April 22nd, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Tania Collins Party games is about having fun and keeping the kids entertained. Don’t choose too many games that are only about awarding the winner - because then the majority are left out. Team games are better in that a team wins rather then just 1 individual. Create different teams for each activity. Also try select a combination of running games (to get rid of energy) and other quieter games. Draw on the wall Kids are constantly in trouble for drawing on walls. So let them do it at the party. The kids will love you, even if the parent’s won’t. You can of course explain its not to be done at home. Get sidewalk chalk or water paint. Allow them to draw on an outside wall. Ask them to decorate it according to the party theme or of their favorite book character. It will keep them busy for a long time. The best part is that it will wash off with the next rain or with a hose pipe. If it is warm weather, let the kids wash it off later with a hose and brushes. Just ensure to tell them to bring swimming costumes along for this activity. Pajama game Ask all the guests to bring their pajamas to the party. Place the pajamas in a line. Ensure the matching tops and bottoms are placed apart. At the word go everyone runs to the line to find and get into their pajamas. The first one finished is the winner. You could have two or three teams sending each member in turn to the middle. The first team finished is the winner. Stork the Lantern This game is played best outside at night. One child is “it” and sits with a flashlight or lantern. They must look at the light. The other children move out into the dark. They try get as close to the lantern as possible. The person with the light tries to listen for noises or spot movement. Then they can look up and say something like “I see you with the red shirt”. That person then sits down. The child that gets the closest to the lantern wins. Treasure Hunt Kids love the excitement of a treasure hunt. If you have a small group have the same number of final destinations as there are kids. This way each child will find a treasure. You could use your party favors as the treasure items, rather then buying something extra. Most of the kids can read, so use two or three word clues. Instruct them to replace each clue back where they found it, except the final clue which is on a yellow (or any color of your choice) paper. There should be enough yellow clues left to send each child to a unique hiding place. Pass the Parcel Once again use your party favors. Wrap a toy or packet of sweets. Add layers of paper around the parcel placing a favor in each layer of paper. Let the children sit in a circle. While you play music they pass the parcel around. When it stops the child with the parcel removes the first layer of paper and keeps the favor. Manipulate the music in such a way that each child gets to take off a layer of paper and thus gets a favor. The winner is the child who opens the last piece of paper. But no one will mind as they each received something. Pin the Tail/Bow/Shoe on the Picture This game can be adapted to suit any theme, from pin the “hunny” pot on Pooh, the shoe on Cinderella or the bow on Hello Kitty. Its even more fun if you put up a large piece of paper on the wall, then draw the outlines of the character. Let the kids do the rest to complete the picture. Supply large wax crayons or paint as pencil crayons are too light. Once the picture is complete the game can begin. The game is played by blindfolding each child, giving them the tail (or missing article), spinning them around 3 times and placing them in front of the picture to pin the missing article. Use press stick instead of drawing pins. The child closest to the correct position for the article wins. Use these ideas - they are sure to be a hit. Here are even more party game and entertainment ideas for you. Book Marketing And Bookselling Tips To Help Self Publishers Sell Books Fast

April 20th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Helen Hecker Ensuring the success of any book is something even the biggest publishers have never been able to guarantee, but with a good book, a little or a lot of money, and just plain hard work the odds are in your favor; many have done it. If you’ve written a ‘how to’ book you’ll find people are always seeking ‘how to’ information making your book easy to sell; in fact the most sought after items on the Internet are information products. Whether you’ve just published a book or have a book that isn’t selling, now is the time to get to the marketing; start marketing aggressively today! Make sure your press release spells out the ‘who, what, where, when, and why.’ Using press releases for marketing or promoting your book or book’s website has become increasingly popular as publishers discover the powerful benefits of using press releases to promote their books. Using press releases can be a very effective marketing tool if used properly. When picked up by wire services, a press release can easily end up generating hundreds, or even thousands of mentions, via syndication, for your book. Send out at least 10 press releases to the print and broadcast media in your area every month. Press releases can generate thousands of dollars in sales when picked up by national trade or print media. Don’t underestimate the value of a good press release for making book sales. Invest in press release submitting software and set aside time every week to send out a press release online to the press directories. I’ve not found that book signings sell many books for publishers and are often a waste of time; better to spend it elsewhere. It’s important to publish a website that focuses on your title; you’ll be able to refer editors and customers and all interested parties to your book information with the click of a mouse. Find a non-exclusive distributor with a good reputation to carry your book for the book store trade, as well as for other retailers. Contact non-bookstore booksellers and offer to leave books on consignment. Build a web site that provides another avenue for ordering, a virtual online press kit and link exchanges with sites that relate to your topic. Print and online publications provide longevity to your marketing campaign in terms of having something tangible for people to reference ongoing. If your book fits a specialty market, find a store that fits the genre and offer to leave books on consignment; many publishers have sold thousands of books this way. Submit articles to online article directories that focus on your book’s topic to drive customers to your website. Contact any companies, corporations or organizations that might use your book for promotions; offer significant discounts for volume orders or for thousands of copies offer a specified amount above book production costs. Make sure to promote and market your book each and every day, both online and offline. Place free ads periodically for your book’s website on Craigslist in different categories to drive even more traffic to your website. Market your book to your number one market first, and then go after the secondary markets. Get as many testimonials about your book, as possible, from experts in the field relating to your title, not from your customers; use on your fliers and back of books. If your book solves a problem, focus on this in your marketing. Make sure your sales letter or flier is first class; this is the formal presentation of your title to the prospective buyer. Women buy more books then men; see how you can fit your book into the women’s’ market. If you apply yourself every day and you promote your book like crazy, you can achieve that ultimate goal of selling thousands of copies of your book, many self publishers have. The success of any book marketing effort depends on a good book and just plain hard work; its been done many times before and you can do it too. Use your book promotion and book marketing dollars wisely; go after the free and cheap resources daily. Dating: Lessons In Love

April 16th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Steve Hill Are you on the look out for a boyfriend/girlfriend? Have you been single for a while? Have you somebody in mind who you would like to go on a date with? A few years ago I thought that I knew what my ideal partner or girlfriend would look and be like. I was however about to learn a very valuable lesson of which I will write about in this article. I am quite short for a male and always prefer to date women who are smaller than I am. This however counts quite a lot of them out. I also like women who are very down to earth and who are quite relaxed about life, not too into themselves for example. I also prefer them to be brunette with a nice smile and attractive eyes, a slim figure would also be a bonus. What I have just described is what I believed to be my perfect girlfriend. This whole notion was blown out of the water around ten years when I had to work on a project at work with a woman called Sam. She was about ten years older than I was and I will never forget what my first impressions of her were. What a mess, I thought. She had made no effort with her appearance, had not even brushed her hair it seemed, she dressed as if she was twenty years older than she actually was and basically looked like she had not slept the night before. This may seem quite cruel and harsh, this is what I used to be like back then, I am ashamed to think about how my mind used to work. I am happy however that I have now changed to be what I hope is a nicer person. Despite these first impressions I have to say that Sam was so nice and helpful to me over the next three months. She is probably one of the kindest and purest people I have ever met. After about ten weeks of first meeting Sam, I started to dream about her and I think I fell in love with her. She had not suddenly made an effort with her appearance, still looked a mess etc. The fact was it did not matter to me anymore, it was what was inside that counted. I never ever admitted to Sam how I felt as she was married, I think her husband is one of the luckiest men alive. Thanks Sam for teaching me a very important lesson in love. Protecting Your Company’s Privacy

April 14th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Richard Hall Today more than any other time in history, protecting company privacy is essential. Unfortunately, the number of cases associated with identify theft have not only risen but also moved from personal to business. Over the past few years, a number of large companies and even government agencies have been in the news for having laptop computers and vital information on employees and the organization itself stolen. What makes this so uncomfortable is that usually, the privacy is being threatened from within the very organization that is supposed to secure it. Keep in mind that while some organizations are at greater risk for thefts, such as credit card companies, banks, or government agencies, even the small mom and pop shops are at risk. Remember, it would only take one instance of information leaking out to put a company completely out of business. The problem is that not only is data being stolen, but often sold to criminals that know exactly how to extract what they want to make a profit at your expense. More than ever, it is crucial to do all you can to protect your organization and employees. In todays flat work force, many employees use laptops rather than desktops. A laptop enables employees to work from any location eliminating downtime for the field employee and increasing the efficiency of communication. However, every time an employee takes the computer out of the office, the potential risk of privacy is increased. Let us say an employee had a laptop with no logon protection. This employee worked in the financial sector of the business and after going to dinner while on a business venture, he returns to the hotel room only to find the laptop gone. Now, without the computer having any type of password protection, anyone can gain access. However, professional criminals can hack anything with or without protection. In addition to accidents such as this, other situations could arise putting your organization in danger. For instance, if there were a disgruntled employee, perhaps someone passed over for a promotion, or someone who knows his or her job were ending, this individual may feel there is nothing to lose by leaking out or taking vital information. If this person were unstable or just angry, he or she could cause damage to the company through the sharing of trade secrets, personal data or other sensitive information. Then of course, you have people who go to work for companies specifically for the sake of stealing private data. Although this is not as common, it does exist and this practice is growing. Yet even with Identity Theft and Privacy being spotlighted in the media, companies remain surprisingly vulnerable. Organizations around the globe have no clue to the quantity of sensitive information being leaked out but even worse, no tracking system is in place to find out or to correct the problem. While we often focus on the computer as a source of theft, private data can be taken out of a company in many other ways. For instance, iPods, USB sticks, or any portable device makes downloading information easy and covert. What happens is that in addition to the company and employees being at risk, customer relations could be severely damaged as well due to lack of trust and confidence. To give you an idea of just how data is being taken out of organizations, 75% is with the use of a portable device, 63% via email attachments, and 59% from content within emails. Sadly, a number of companies were recently surveyed and of those, just 50% stated they had any concern. If you are working hard to build your organization, you need to take this risk seriously. With so many possibilities for privacy to be robbed, it is crucial that you understand the risks and then take appropriate action to correct them. If major data leaks can occur within tightly secured companies such as AT&T, National Audit Office, Veterans Affairs, and Google, then surely you too can potentially be at risk. Take steps to protect your trade secrets and sensitive private data. This is an area worth making an investment. With the sheer volume of information that is produced daily within a company, it is challenging to ensure security. However, taking time to understand who has access to important data and how to best protect it is well worth the investment of time and money. After all, what would it cost you if your valuable data was lost or stolen? Richard A. Hall is founder and President/CEO of LexTech, Inc., a legal information consulting company. Mr. Hall has a unique breadth of experience which has enabled him to meld technology and sophisticated statistical analysis to produce a technology driven analytical model of the practice of law. As a busy civil trial attorney, he was responsible for the design and implementation of a LAN based litigation database and fully automated document production system for a mid-sized civil defense firm. He developed a task based billing model built on extensive statistical analysis of hundreds of litigated civil matters. In 1994, Mr. Hall invented linguistic modeling software which automatically reads, applies budget codes, budget codes and analyzes legal bill content. How Effective are Those Programs for Losing Weight Fast?

April 11th, 2008 by billytheocharakis

By Foras Aje Well, it depends on which one that you do decide to use. Honestly even though most could be more or less effective to a degree, one factor to keep in mind with rapid weight loss solutions is the aftermath of such a program. It will be like preaching the choir to say that being overweight can lead to a series of health issues such as cardiac problems, diabetes, sleep apnea and hypertension. Wisely, most of the people in such a category often do take steps to lower their body weight, however, the problem that most overweight people might have may be (as most humans are) to get something that works fast and gives results quickly, hence the need for those so-called programs for losing weight fast and that is understandable,.
